Policy Committee
The Policy Committee is action-oriented, and serves as the clearinghouse for all issues which are referred by the Executive and Board of Directors, members and other concerning priorities which are or should be receiving the active attention of the Chamber. The Policy Committee advocates on behalf of the General Membership of The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
The Policy Committee of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce shall provide timely support to the Chamber Board of Directors and the Chamber Membership on matters of Chamber Policy respecting the Chamber’s role as the Voice of Business.
The Policy Committee shall continue to explore the development and growth of our community through the identification of:

Current economic threats and business opportunities for the community;

The real and perceived strengths and weaknesses of the community;

What the community can do to prepare for and take advantage of immediate and long term growth.
The Policy Committee shall strive to reach out to all segments of the Chamber membership to ensure broad and representative Committee membership.

Program Committee
The Program Committee’s mandate is to initiate, promote and execute business programs and networking events for the benefit of our members.
This Committee is responsible for providing continued networking and business opportunities such as the Business After Hours program and the Breakfast Club. Prosperity, an annual Business-to-Business Tradeshow, provides booth spaces for our members and is open to the general public. The Business Excellence Awards showcase the best of the best in Peterborough and Peterborough County. Both an 18-hole full-service golf tournament and a more casual 9’n Dine Tournament offer good fun and recreation. For
new members, attending your first event will be made less daunting as you’re welcomed by the A-Team, our special ambassadors who can introduce you to people and make you feel comfortable.
The Committee's goal is to continue to enhance the programming and to include more topics and events of interest to our diverse membership base.
