About the Awards

The Peterborough Business Excellence Awards publicly recognize and honour local businesses that have demonstrated a passion for excellence.

The Greater Peterborough Chamber Of Commerce and the Small Business Week Committee have established the Peterborough Business Excellence Awards in order to promote the advancement of responsible business leadership and prosperity within the community.

It is our goal that many noteworthy and accomplished companies will be recognized and honoured with this prestigious award.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for nomination for any of the award categories the nominee must be located within the City/County of Peterborough, or have been founded and still have headquarters here. All qualified candidates are encouraged to nominate themselves, or you may nominate any qualified individual, or business for any of the award categories. Nominees do not need to be members of the Chamber of Commerce. Forms are available below as an Interactive PDF file or by calling 705-748-9771 ext 0.

Judging Criteria

Depending on the category, judges will choose from the following criteria:

  • Product innovation and technological achievement
  • Increased employment, employee retention consideration and growth opportunities
  • Excellence in business leadership and entrepreneurship
  • Demonstration of measurement of customer service and reliability
  • Achievements in marketing and promotion
  • Community involvement and contribution

    Judging Criteria Update

    The Marketing & Promotion category has been modified to allow for local companies to include successful campaigns they have done for clients who are outside of our community.
