COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - Chamber Event Policy
The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce continues to monitor and assess new developments pertaining to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The safety and well-being of our members and community are of the utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update this policy as required. We will communicate any event changes to registrants, our members, and the public through email, social media posts, and updates on our website (www.peterboroughchamber.ca).
CURRENTLY, WE ENCOURAGE ALL EVENT ATTENDEES TO:
TEMPORARY CHANGE TO THE CHAMBER REFUND POLICY
During this time, we have revised our Chamber Event Refund Policy for registrants. If you are not able to attend an in-person event, please contact the Chamber by email or call 705-748-9771 x0 prior to the event.
As published on the Peterborough Public Health site, the symptoms of the COVID-19 Coronavirus may include fever and/or respiratory symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. If you are unwell, we encourage you to stay home to recover.

CURRENTLY, WE ENCOURAGE ALL EVENT ATTENDEES TO:
- Evaluate their own health (and the health of people they’re in close contact with), when deciding to attend an upcoming Chamber event. A temporary change to our refund policy has been made for those who are no longer able to attend an event (see below).
- Follow the guidance of Peterborough Public Health for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of viruses, including but not limited to:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when hands are not visibly dirty.
- Cough into your sleeve or elbow, or sneeze into a tissue, and encourage others to do the same.
- Wash your hands after using facial tissues.
- Avoid touching your face and clean hands before touching eyes, nose or mouth.
- Avoid close contact with others that are sick. Maintain at least 2-metre (6.5 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- If you are sick, stay at home and keep yourself away from others.
- Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
- Greet other event attendees with a wave instead of a handshake.

Network with fellow Chamber members, meet new business connections & learn about what's going on in Peterborough's business ecosystem. |
THIRD WEDNESDAY
OF EACH MONTH This free, noon hour series is open to Chamber members and WBN members interested in professional development and connecting with fellow members. Located in the Chamber boardroom, you are invited to bring your lunch along with you, and have the opportunity to listen to a short presentation, followed by Q&A.

Annual events are our signature events that combine networking with celebration, advocacy, and learning.
FEBRUARY
The Power Hour is a weeknight business dinner. Recorded for broadcast on cable television, it's an hour of Q&A with our elected officials from all levels of government.

A half-day conference featuring a keynote conversation and panel discussions. The Business Summit is a partnership with Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development geared to business owners looking to take the next step with their business.

One of the largest seniors trade shows in Canada! The Seniors Showcase features 110+ exhibitors & nearly two dozen workshops. It is the show to reach Peterborough's largest demographic.

The Peterborough Chamber Of Commerce and the Small Business Week Committee established the Peterborough Business Excellence Awards in order to promote the advancement of responsible business leadership and prosperity within the community.
